Bowland Classic Cancelled

Despite several days of section marking and route planning, overnight heavy rain on already waterlogged ground has forced us to cancel the Northern British Bike Championship trial this weekend

The decision has been made following a review of some of the groups this morning as rain continues to fall and raise the river levels to a point where we just can’t cross them. More significant however, are the waterlogged meadows we would be riding across causing damage to farmland. We need to respect the land so we can ask to use it again in the future and the decision to cancel hasn’t be made lightly. Arrangements will be made in due course to refund entry fees.
