Vesty Charity Donations

Vesty’s Charities

In those dark days of Covid lockdowns, the Red Rose Classic Trials Club didn’t sit idle. With a 3 time
world champion from the classic era a member of the club, they felt it was only fitting to start an
annual charity trial in his name.
After much cajoling from the committee (well Trevor) sponsors were found for all the sections,
advertisers for the programme and prizes galore for a raffle.
A great trial ensued at Lee Dell in early July 2021 with around 150 riders enjoying 20 great sections
plus a timed special test to decide ties.
Whilst Dan Clark went round clean to claim the overall victory, the real winners were North West Air
Ambulance, Pendleside Hospice and Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital who received £2500 each
from the event.
An earlier date and new venue were chosen for 2022 – April is quieter than July and a charitable
landowner offering the venue for free prompting the changes.
Joel Gowan used the event as a warm up for the pre 65 Scottish and took overall victory on 6, but
again the sponsorship and advertising enabled the club to give another £2000 each to Pendleside
Hospice and North West Air Ambulance.
The club are really pleased to have given £11,500 to these worthy causes and look forward to
continuing their charitable donations for many years to come.

If they’re any potential sponsors for next year event please get in touch with one of the committee .
